Dongwan had spent most of the day debating with himself. Should he pick Eeteuk up from his internship and take him straight out on the date Dongwan had planned that Eeteuk didn't know about? It seemed like a good idea, but Eeteuk always liked to look perfect when they went out somewhere, and he was sure that after a day of internship the guy would probably want to have a shower or at least freshen up a bit before heading out for the evening. So maybe he should pick Eeteuk up and bring him back to his place? Dongwan had been having trouble deciding all day long, but in the end he knew what he wanted to do.

be home & ready for 6pm ^O^/ he sent as a text message to Eeteuk.

The rest of the day passed slowly, like time was creeping along as slowly as it possibly could just because someone had made plans that they were waiting to have happen. Dongwan hated how time always did that. But eventually it was time to leave work, and then time to head home, and it was while he was getting ready himself that time decided to speed up again and before Dongwan knew it it was time to head to Eeteuk's place to pick him up.

Just before 6pm was when Dongwan found himself outside of Eeteuk's door. His bag was on one shoulder, with Eeteuk's presents in it, and in his hands was one red rose. Cheesey, but Eeteuk seemed to like cheesey little gestures like this, and Dongwan would be lying if he said he didn't like doing it every now and again. Knocking on the door, Dongwan waited for his boyfriend to open up, wondering how far away from being ready Eeteuk actually was right now.

That was my breakfast this morning ^O^/

I just had the best Sunday and Monday ever. I don't actually know what to say about it, haha. But the The Used concert was great, and Eeteuk had a great time too, and there was a steakhouse right across from the motel, and I've never been so embarrassed in front of a motel owner in my life, but it was all good.

I want to turn back time and do it all again, it was that great ^^~~~~~!

The past few weeks had been so crazy that Dongwan still sometimes found it hard to believe that they had really happened. He'd gone from thinking he was straight and only liked girls, to being attracted to a guy he barely knew, to finding out that said guy was also a vampire - and it hadn't necessarily been in that order, either. The past three weeks had been spent hanging out on weekends when they could, just finding things to do, or staying in to teach Eeteuk how to cook, enjoying the kisses that they seemed to have become addicted to. They spammed each other with texts during the week, and Dongwan dropped by the coffee shop when he could, just to say hi.

He had never before put in that kind of effort with someone who was a simple friend - especially not a guy - but neither of them were putting any other label on what was going on, other than what Eeteuk had said that morning: friends that kiss.

It was easier that way.

That's what Dongwan told himself, anyway, but he knew that the more he spammed Eeteuk with random, pointless text messages or emails, the more they snuggled into each other on his couch, the more he poked Eeteuk's dimples, the more he was falling for the guy, and the more he wanted. And the more he worried about getting his heart broken all over again, so in some ways this whole 'friends that kiss' thing was easier, it was safer, and it made Dongwan remind himself to not expect anything more of Eeteuk. If you have no expectations, then you can never be let down.

But that was so much easier said than done.

Rolling over in bed to check the time again, Dongwan decided that it was really getting time to get his ass out of bed now and go get his things before he went by to pick Eeteuk up. Luckily the concert wasn't until 5:30pm, and it would only take 2 hours at the most to get to New Jersey - as long as he didn't get lost, but Dongwan was pretty confident that he wouldn't - so it wasn't like they really needed to get a super early start.

An hour later and it was just gone 10am, and Dongwan was in his car heading towards Eeteuk's place. He hadn't actually been there before, but he knew the address and he decided that the fact that he found it with no problems at all was a sign that he was going to find his way to New Jersey just as easily.

He could be positive, anyway.

Heading up to Eeteuk's floor, Dongwan knocked loudly on his friend's door. "Teukkie~" he called out, though not too loud cos he didn't want to piss any neighboors off. "Rise and shine, Princess! Your carriage awaits, to take you to the ball~"
