The past few weeks had been so crazy that Dongwan still sometimes found it hard to believe that they had really happened. He'd gone from thinking he was straight and only liked girls, to being attracted to a guy he barely knew, to finding out that said guy was also a vampire - and it hadn't necessarily been in that order, either. The past three weeks had been spent hanging out on weekends when they could, just finding things to do, or staying in to teach Eeteuk how to cook, enjoying the kisses that they seemed to have become addicted to. They spammed each other with texts during the week, and Dongwan dropped by the coffee shop when he could, just to say hi.
He had never before put in that kind of effort with someone who was a simple friend - especially not a guy - but neither of them were putting any other label on what was going on, other than what Eeteuk had said that morning: friends that kiss.
It was easier that way.
That's what Dongwan told himself, anyway, but he knew that the more he spammed Eeteuk with random, pointless text messages or emails, the more they snuggled into each other on his couch, the more he poked Eeteuk's dimples, the more he was falling for the guy, and the more he wanted. And the more he worried about getting his heart broken all over again, so in some ways this whole 'friends that kiss' thing was easier, it was safer, and it made Dongwan remind himself to not expect anything more of Eeteuk. If you have no expectations, then you can never be let down.
But that was so much easier said than done.
Rolling over in bed to check the time again, Dongwan decided that it was really getting time to get his ass out of bed now and go get his things before he went by to pick Eeteuk up. Luckily the concert wasn't until 5:30pm, and it would only take 2 hours at the most to get to New Jersey - as long as he didn't get lost, but Dongwan was pretty confident that he wouldn't - so it wasn't like they really needed to get a super early start.
An hour later and it was just gone 10am, and Dongwan was in his car heading towards Eeteuk's place. He hadn't actually been there before, but he knew the address and he decided that the fact that he found it with no problems at all was a sign that he was going to find his way to New Jersey just as easily.
He could be positive, anyway.
Heading up to Eeteuk's floor, Dongwan knocked loudly on his friend's door. "Teukkie~" he called out, though not too loud cos he didn't want to piss any neighboors off. "Rise and shine, Princess! Your carriage awaits, to take you to the ball~"
